Artist's Statement:

I work in multiple mediums. Frequently, my work is self-referential. After the fact, I find my out-put reflects my inner state.  In my collages, I weave many threads: postwar family photos; images of destruction; patterns; textures and found objects. Bits of rust in particular intrigue, as I imagine their prior secret life. Anything striking a cord within ignites some vague, ephemeral stream which inevitably finds its way into these works. Meanwhile, the Abstractions hold secret mysteries, even from me.

In my work, I often transition between figurative and abstract and then back to figurative again."
